NEW CLASS DESCRIPTIONS FOR 2009-2010

 

BEGINNER TUMBLING

(AGES 11 & UNDER)
This class works on basic skills including forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, bridge-ups, and bridge-up kickovers.NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY TO ENROLL

 

TUMBLING 1

(AGES 11 & UNDER)

This class works on back walkovers, handstand forward rolls and snap downs, backward roll to push-up, front limbers & walkovers, & roundoffs. MUST HAVE: FORWARD AND BACKWARD ROLLS, BRIDGE-UP, HANDSTAND, & SOLID CARTWHEEL TO ENROLL.

BACK HANDSPRING 101

(AGES 12 & OVER)

TUMBLING 2

BACK HANDSPRING BOOT CAMP

(AGES 12 & OVER)

                                               

This class works on standing back handsprings, round-off back handsprings through to series and step-outs, cartwheel back handsprings, dive forward rolls, front handsprings through to round-off back handsprings, & back extension rolls. MUST HAVE:  HANDSTAND SNAPDOWNS & A SOLID ROUND-OFF TO ENROLL. BACKBEND KICKOVER IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

TUMBLING 3, 4, & EXTREME

ENROLLMENT IS BASED ON SKILL LEVEL, NOT AGE.

TUMBLING 3

This class works on standing back handsprings, round-off back handsprings through to series and step-outs, cartwheel back handsprings, dive forward rolls, front handsprings through to round-off back handsprings, & back extension rolls. MUST HAVE:  HANDSTAND SNAPDOWNS & A SOLID ROUND-OFF TO ENROLL. FRONT WALKOVER IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

TUMBLING 4

This class works on standing back tuck skills, layout skills, tricks through to tucks, & front handspring through to tucks and layouts. MUST HAVE:  ROUND-OFF BACK HANDSPRING BACK TUCK, STANDING SERIES, & A FRONT HANDSPRING. STEP-OUTS FROM BACK AND FRONT HANDSPRINGS IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

EXTREME TUMBLING
This class works on twisting, combination skills, jumps connected to tucks (for cheerleaders), Arabians, & tumbling out of layouts and other skills. MUST HAVE:  ROUND-OFF BACK HANDSPRING LAYOUT, PUNCH FRONT, & EITHER: A STANDING BACK TUCK or A STANDING BACKHANDSPRING BACK TUCK.       
 
DIRECTOR APPROVAL NEEDED BEFORE ENTERING THIS CLASS.
